Tailored to your taste
Needless to say, you will base your choice of dishes primarily on your existing porcelain tableware. But when it comes to dessert dishes, it is especially useful to think about the correct shape for various desserts. If you want to impress your guests with a large homemade tiramisu, you will need a large dish for the dessert and relatively shallow dishes for the individual portions. On the other hand, if your guests have ice cream or rice pudding to look forward to, deeper dessert dishes are better. When choosing the cutlery, do not forget to go for dessert spoons with longer handles so that the spoon does not disappear into the ice cream.
Quality down to the last detail
Villeroy & Boch subjects even the smallest dish to the same high standards as the largest underplate or serving bowl. The individual dessert dishes are made from radiant white premium porcelain or softly shimmering premium bone porcelain in a state-of-the-art production process. Both varieties are characterised by especially high impact resistance and tough rims. Each dish is covered in a lead-free glaze to protect the décors, some of which are painted by hand. Delicate precious metal applications are also sealed under a liquid coating so that they do not lose their shine. To ensure that we can guarantee you immaculate craftsmanship every time, every dish is carefully checked before it leaves our production facility.
Everything from pudding to potatoes
The larger dessert dishes from Villeroy & Boch are also ideal as side dishes for your roast potatoes or aromatic saffron rice. If you do not have many guests at your table, they can also be used as salad dishes, teamed with balsamic vinegar, olive oil, sea salt and freshly-ground pepper. For Asian meals in particular, you can use the smallest dishes in selected collections to serve your guests spices such as sambal, kecap and wasabi. Sometimes very intense, the colour pigments do not adhere to the smooth glaze, so the dishes can easily be cleaned in the dishwasher, and you can relax and enjoy an after-dinner coffee with your guests.
